Chaperone Functions in Muscle Cells

Muscle Cells are dependent on continous function of chaperones. This is true for the Hsp90 system. and its cofactor UNC-45 or the Hsc70 system and its cofactor UNC-23. Disruption of their function leads to severe phenotypes, which resemble muscular dystrophy like conditions.
