Measuring Protein Interactions

Hsp90 N-terminal domain and determination of ligand binding by titration calorimetry

The whole chaperone system is therapeutically relevant, even though traditional strategies only aim at a full inhibition of Hsp90. Based on established protein chemical or cell biological assays, we aim at developing inhibitors, which only lead to a partial inhibition of this system or a modulation of its activity. This should allow that only specific chaperone dependent client proteins are inhibited. Besides these inhibitors we are also interested in general aspects of protein-ligand interactions.
